Administration Officer

£23,114 - £24,294 (Pro rata term time only).  Actual salary £19,125 - £20,559

Carmountside Primary Academy is a happy and welcoming one-form entry primary school that puts children at the heart of everything we do. We are looking to appoint a highly organised, experienced and efficient Administration Officer.  You will be the first point of contact for parents and visitors to the school and will need to be able to communicate effectively at all levels in a supportive and calm way. The successful candidate should be enthusiastic, caring and willing to contribute to all aspects of school life. Responsibilities include reception and administration duties, maintaining aspects of the school MIS system and secretarial support.

Academy Business Manager

25-28 (£33,945 - £36,648) pro rota Actual Salary £31,169 - £34,417)

The Head Teacher and governors would like to appoint an Academy Business Manager who is keen to be a key part of our highly effective academy team. The successful candidate will have responsibility for undertaking aspects of the academy leadership and management including:

  • Financial management and marketing; promoting the highest standards of business ethos within the administrative function of the academy in ensuring the most effective use of resources in support of the academy’s learning objectives
  • Overseeing facilities, health and safety and risk assessments

Personnel, administration and support services

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is determined to work with us in ensuring that our children get the very best educational experience
  • Can ensure the effective management, reporting and recording of the academy’s finances
  • Shows an ability to use existing resources effectively and is able to be innovative in adapting these to changing circumstances
  • Demonstrates courage, emotional intelligence, integrity and confidence
  • Is a highly effective communicator
  • Works well as part of a team and has a sense of humour

About the role:

  • You will be required to work 37 hours per week.
  • Previous experience of working in a school as a School Business Manager, Bursar or Office Manager with financial responsibility is desirable.
  • A Certificate in School Business Management or equivalent would be desirable however training will be provided.
