Early Years at Carmountside Primary School
At Carmountside Primary School, our Early Years provision includes Pre‑School, Nursery and Reception, working closely together to give children a positive, secure and nurturing start to their learning journey. We place a strong emphasis on building relationships, developing confidence and supporting every child to thrive.
Our Early Years Provision
We offer:
- Pre‑School – providing a caring and stimulating environment where young children begin to develop independence, communication skills and a love of learning.
- Nursery – supporting children to build on early skills through play‑based learning and structured routines.
- Reception – preparing children for Key Stage 1 while continuing to promote curiosity, creativity and resilience.
Transition between Pre‑School, Nursery and Reception is carefully planned, with staff working as a team to ensure continuity and familiarity for children.
